The first computer I ever loved looked like this. So I rebuilt it, and tucked my whole portfolio inside β boot it up and have a click around.
The first computer I ever fell for was a chunky beige Macintosh β a tiny black-and-white screen that hummed when you flipped it on and a floppy drive that churned away like it was thinking hard. By today's standards it barely did anything. It didn't need to. Dragging a window across that little screen for the first time felt like reaching into a world that lived inside the box.
That machine is the reason I do what I do. The wonder of making a screen respond to you β that's the thing I've been chasing ever since, through every language, every job, every late-night side project. The love of computers didn't start with a framework or a job offer. It started here, with a beige box and a black-and-white screen.
So I rebuilt it. mac.roo.app is a love letter to that computer β the teal desktop, the square corners, the Chicago font, windows you can actually drag. My whole portfolio, living inside the machine that made me love this in the first place.
Best on a desktop β go drag a window around.
