Group Engineering Manager at Intuit
Ever since I was young, technology has been a true passion of mine. This interest was first ignited when I was introduced to computers during my elementary school years. I found computers to be a small yet powerful tool, with endless possibilities for exploration and experimentation.
The act of creating has always been a driving force in my life. This impulse led me to pursue a career in engineering. Initially, I had envisioned myself as a mechanical engineer, however, I found that the potential reach and impact of software engineering was far more compelling.
During my undergraduate studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, I delved into a variety of software-related opportunities. I had the privilege of serving as the lead software engineer for the university's Hyperloop program, which ultimately culminated in a 3rd place finish at the national competition.
Upon graduation, I secured a position as a full-time Software Engineer at Intuit working on the Mint iOS application. This allowed me, as a fresh graduate, to gain invaluable insight in the development of an app used by millions of users.
In recent years, I have transitioned from a full-time engineer to a leadership role. I currently manage a large team of mobile and backend engineers within Intuit. While software development will always hold a special place in my heart, I have found great fulfillment in helping others grow in their careers.
